What are you trying to do? 64DD RTC only works on 64DD IPL.

Fast EDIT: Oh, there's an issue when there's no disk. Heh. RTC still works though.

Re: Where did MarathonMan go? Project dead?

Quick question, does the Disk Drive modify the Nintendo 64's graphics by having it's own video chip or something? Is CEN64 just going emulate games or are the other features going to be emulated as well? 64DD is ONLY a disk drive with a Real Time Clock in there, and has a library of fonts and sound...

Meh, I said I was too busy but I said "fuck it". I'm doing the port. And I'm stuck again. I love it.

Re: Where did MarathonMan go? Project dead?

To be honest I may not need a debugger since MESS does support 64DD now. I can just port that.

But life got in the way in my case also, I'll totally work on 64DD emulation on CEN64 when I'm able to.
I'll also try to support unconverted dumps.

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Well, the excuse for this was the fact it's a blue disk. Blue disks doesn't work on retail 64DDs, even if you force it as it is. :D Wait, so this is actually a legit copy of Ura Zelda but its just not accessible at the current point in time? If not, what game does the disk contain? Also thanks for ...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Then, what we need to load a blue disk image on MESS, the 64DD dev kit's BIOS instead of the regular one? Also, do you still plan to backport MESS's code for 64DD support on CEN64? Because CEN64's development is a bit...dormant right now... There's more into it than that. You need to change a few m...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Yeah, among all the available 64dd dumps it was the only one that froze MESS during the boot sequence (I would have posted this on the same day it got "released" but I had no internet for the past few days :P ). But besides that it was still amazing for me to see the other dumps boot up (even if th...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Which one? The proper Doshin the Giant dump, the Super Mario 64 Disk Version, or both? Both. And Doshin The Giant always had a good dump. The 2nd one however, isn't that way. That's amazing! There's any chance that the code will be ported to CEN64? I need to look at the code first. It's not pushed ...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

What's the status on this? Has this disk been dumped properly yet? Have any other prototypes/betas/unlicensed games been dumped yet? I heard somewhere that the owner of the Super Mario 64 Disk Version was being shipped a dumper, but I'm not sure if it's true or not. Dumped, and you can find it on G...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

The Read Errors for the System Area (LBA's 0-23) may be because the IPL accesses these as 192 byte sectors, instead of 232 bytes for Zone 0 sectors. 192 bytes ONLY for Development 64DD disks. It's 232 bytes for normal retail disks. And for development disks, it reads the System Area just fine. The ...

None. Still stuck at the same point.

Currently waiting for CEN64's debugger so I can find this out.

Say that to No-Intro, they're the worst in that regard for using *.n64 instead of *.v64.

(Just for that, GoodN64 > No-Intro)

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Doshin The Giant 2's dump is bad. There are bad blocks in bad places. Because the disk is damaged? It's strange that there are only two dumps of Doshin the giant 2 so far...We need a third owner of this game. We have a third owner. This means that CEN64 doesn't read correctly the disk, right? It mu...

Re: CEN64-Qt

EDIT: Actually, we might need even more than -ddrom as LuigiBlood's proposed format calls for two different files for each 64DD ROM (since the magnetic media consists of both volatile and non-volatile sections). I mostly thought of it as <dump>.ndd, and automatically searches for <dump>.sdd based o...

All right, made a fork of cen64 with my code for 64DD:
https://github.com/LuigiBlood/cen64

(About SHA1, those I put in a pastebin, it's only the User ROM area as it's the only comparable part between dumps.)

For now, I'm waiting for SSE2 support to work on Windows. My CPU is too old to support SSSE3/SSE4.1/AVX. Must be a fellow pre-Bulldozer AMD CPU user - I totally had the same issue before my AM2+ mobo ended up dying anyway. You wouldn't happen to have at least an older Core Duo or Solo Socket M lapt...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Good to know it. :) Other two questions: Are you still defining the 64DD format and its file extension? Can you explain briefly them? I think the format won't change after all, but the extension will change to *.ndd. The format is similar to the other dumps we got of F-Zero X Expansion Kit and Deza...

Re: I'll just leave this here...

Felt like coming in here. Anyway OzOnE pretty much did some huge work before as he tried to make a dumper with an Arduino. Then we both worked on a dumper using libdragon, but it failed because of timing reasons. So I got impatient and I used the N64 SDK, and marshallh added SD card writing code and...
