Re: Notes on development of the next CEN64 core.
From what I can gather, "Nintendium" is actually ABS plastic. Same stuff as Lego, though different moulding temperatures and additives give it different properties.

Some video output information.
Seen this? NTSC to PAL Conversion After completing the American and Japanese versions of the game, it was my task to convert the game so that it could run on the European PAL television standard. Being British, I had a vested interest in making sure that the conversion was a good one. This meant two...

Re: Compatibility on new 2016 builds
Yay, the newest revision now outputs at an exact 1:1 pixel aspect ratio - this is particularly useful for any post-processing scaling filters. In particular, I was thinking about making a video recording of playing Hydro Thunder in Cen64, but also doing it as a test to try some fancy upscaling algo...

Re: Questions about plans for CEN64
Netplay is more or less entirely impossible to incorporate into a cycle-accurate simulator unless you're on a LAN, and even then I'm not certain as to how successful it'd be. Why would this be? From what I've gathered playing N64 games online with Mupen, netplay works by slowing the game down when ...

I just noticed that this Shadows of the Empire beta cart has a debug menu with lots of interesting technical options. Might they be of any use in testing CEN64?

Re: How to use CEN64
It came out in 2010, it doesn't support anything newer than the phenom II, it certainly wouldn't be able to run a newer graphics card at full speed, and it's micro ATX. I asked because certain Socket AM3 boards can support Socket AM3+ CPUs. And you may be in luck. According to this page , revision ...

Re: Super Mario 3D World
I'm not a Mario man. The gameplay is just too simplistic for my liking. I'm sure there are plenty of people who enjoy just jumping around and collecting stuff, but I need at least a bit of depth. I have a Wii U, but the only games I have right now are Pikmin 3 (beaten) and Wind Waker HD (almost beat...

Some of them, but two of them say "N64 Developer Documents" and "N64 Online Manuals". The sets are also dated October 1999 and August 2000, which sounds more recent than the documents I've seen floating around.MarathonMan wrote:Those discs likely contained the software for the SGI Indy and u64 boards.
