Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know until now about this fork and, unlike the original, it's compatible with mupen64plus and Linux. That's awesome!

CEN64 has just been re-written by scratch, with a new approach, and I believe, at this state, it won't boot anything.
Although, if you still need the old one, you can find it there: https://github.com/tj90241/cen64

I really should have clarified - while Devolution does requires the disc, it still requires you to rip the game to an ISO as well. Basically it plays the game from the ISO file but it still needs the disc in the drive the first time you launch the game. The alternative is to just directly use Gecko...

Well since you seem to have all the answers, does Cen64 have a built-in 60 VI/s limiter yet? Not yet. That started working when I implemented open bus reads a few months ago. The cart basically attempts to 'look' for the 64DD (using an address that isn't mapped, if the 64DD isn't installed). I wasn't emulating that device-not-present kind of bus access correctly. Oh, now I see, thanks. Now the ques...

Also, I've noticed that CEN64 wants to use the JACK audio server. What advantages does this have over ALSA for emulation? Sure, I think there are some. Firstly, I'm not going to beat around the bush: the language wasn't designed around elegance -- it's a really ugly language at best and has very limited use cases. Mario Party should be full speed once the optimizations are done. That game isn't too intensive. F-Zero is going to be tougher. I hardly ever tested Iggy's, Banjo, or Doom 64.
